Ain't Goin Out Like That
You can excuse the Hawks if Cypress Hill was blearing from their dressing room after last night's win over the Canucks. Given the circumstances of his situation, Dave Bolland probably had the performance of the playoffs so far. Returning to action after an extended bout on the sidelines due to a concussion all he did last night was lead the Hawks to victory with a goal & 3 assists. Just as important was his post-game interview where he reiterated the need for increased player safety. Often postgame playoff interviews are full of cliched BS, it was refreshing to read about him speaking out on such an important topic.
Smart move by Vancouver to pull Luongo. Chicago's mastery of him is well known but yet to become an issue this series. Game 5 back in Vancouver will be a good one. I'm calling it now that the Hawks will play again in Chicago this postseason. Captain serious (Toews) & the rest of the Cup champs have too much pride.
Now onto a subject that pains me greatly. WTF happened in LA last night? I fall asleep when the Kings are having an awesome 1st period being up 3-0, then I see this morning they blew a 4 nothing leads and go on to lose in OT. Their 2nd OT loss of the series. Now I know the players will say the right things in that they'll forget about is & just move on. The reality is, it's those types of performances define a series. The Sharks have a renewed confidence and Kings, already outgunned as it is will be fortunate to win another game. Welcome to the post season scoresheet Mr's Thornton, Marleau & Boyle.
I really don't understand the NHL & how they set the schedule - I realize that all teams arena's have various commitments but to have 2 games one night & 5 the next? I just don't get it.
The Phoenix death watch is on tonight in what could be thier final game - ever.
Gonna change gears now & direct you guys to Don Berry & Coaches Table. This clip is a little dated but his Cherry impersonation is dead on. Funny stuff.
Enjoy tonight's games everyone.
