Better late than never
Ok Canucks fans.. I was wrong. I was getting ready to lead this update with my best Jim Carrey impression of Luuuu-hooo-oooo-seeeeer but I gotta give credit where credit is due. Luongo answered the call and almost got himself the shutout last night. That shorty by Toews almost foiled the celebrations but in the end the better team did win. Luongo's statement about winning last night was bigger than the gold medal win was very telling of how much pressure he was under.
2 of our BC poolies were at the game last night and sent along a pic to share. Thanks for sharing The Shore Squad & RPold! Hope the noggins are feeling better after last nights festivities.
Interesting fact I just discovered on twitter. One five times have the defending cup champs and the presidents trophy winner faced each other in the postseason and every time the winner of the series has won the cup. Good news for all you Canucks fans.
So last night Progers plays his first game of the playoffs and the Flyers win in what was really no contest. Coincidence? I think not.
Given my recent string of bad predictions theres no way I'm gonna shy away from calling tonights winners. I'm taking Tampa & Montreal tonight. You know what that means - put your money on the Pens & Bruins.
Speaking of the Bruins - how pathetic is that power play? Brian Burke must be smiling at the Bruins anguish and lack of PP production from Kaberle. SHOOOOOOT! Remember that one Leaf fans?
K that's it for now - puck drop is coming very shortly & the Montreal cop cars are scared!
I'll be back tomorrow with my 2nd round predictions and our first prize winner - the leader after round 1.
Enjoy the games everyone!
