Happy Easter playoff fans

Gonna try to keep this update short today.. Not seen much action the past few nights. I try but its been more the TV watching me snooze rather than watching it.

Anahiem & Philly's playoff fate has been put on notice after both teams lost in OT on home ice last night. Now both teams face elimination on the road in game 6. Certainly not a desirable scenario for the Flyers or Ducks.

Of the 2 teams, I think Philly will overcome their situation. They're just too deep up front and have been here before - just ask Boston. Philly is deep but they're missing some key pieces in Pronger & now Carter. Mike Richards needs to stop beakin & just play. You're the captain - let your play do your talking for you - something like scoring your first playoff goal would be much better served than complaining about the refs.

In my first round predicitons, I made some very wrong calls (Coyotes upset, Bruins sweep) but I correctly predicted that Philly would play all 3 goalies in this playoffs. I just didn't think it would happen only 5 games into the playoffs.

4 more games today - 3 of which have team eliminations as possibilities. Pens, Caps & Sharks can all advance with wins over the Bolts, Rangers & Kings. Of the 3 matchups - and it pains me to say this being a Kings fan, I only see Tampa forcing another game. The home ice disadvantage series of Boston-Montreal also resumes today.. First team to win @ home takes this series - could very well be the Bruins this evening - huge OT win for them 2 nights ago with former hab and fellow Newfie Michael Ryder getting the winner.

Speaking of Newfies, Dan Cleary (1G,2A), Mike Ryder(2G,1A) & Ryan Clowe(4G,3A) have been awesome for their teams so far this playoffs.. Teddy Purcell (0G,1A) - you hearing this? You need to light the lamp to keep pace with your fellow Newfs.

Today's a great day for hockey watching with games starting @ 12, 3, 7 & 10:30 (all times EST). For the first round I think I've changed my tune on early games but I know I'll be ranting again in 2 weeks time when there's only 1 Saturday game & it gets played in the afternoon. The causal fans that the NHL wants so desperately - those people got shit to do during the day.

Ok so this update wasn't so short afterall.. I'm now off to take my ankle biter to his first ever Blue Jay game. Wish me luck - I may need it. :)

Cheers!
